Little Garden Growers: Free Weekly Gardening Session in Helensvale
10am to 12pm every Monday until 16 November 2020 at Westfield Helensvale: 1-29 Millaroo Drive, Helensvale. Become a green thumb at our weekly Little Garden Growers sessions. Kids will get to paint and decorate their own pot, choose their vegetable or herb, plant it, water it and take it home! This program is a fun and exciting way to teach children about gardening, the environment and sustainability. Edens Landing Little Learners Playgroup (3 -5 years)
From 9am to 11am. This playgroup is facilitated by the school in partnership with Playgroup Qld and is open for families within the local school catchment area. They meet in the Multi Purpose Hall – entry via front of school at 1/1 Jamie Nicolson Ave, Edens Landing. Edens Landing Little Learners space incorporates a range of supported activities for the development of social, fine and gross motor skills for pre prep aged children between 3 and 5 years of age. They provide a regular routine including the Koala Joeys interactive oral language program which promotes opportunities for parents to develop an understanding of early literacy and numeracy skills and the importance of play for learning in the early years. Their format encourages parent-led interaction with children, to empower parents as their child’s first teacher. Their group meets weekly during school terms and can cater for up to 20 children.

Kids Music Beat – the home of Rockin’ Tots, is an early learning program for children aged 13 months to 2.5 years, conducted with a music therapy focus. Having fun through musical play and taking joy in your child’s musical expression is central to the program. There are three classes each week, held at 9am – 9.30am, 9.45am – 10.15am and 10.30am – 11am. Free.
Kangatraining Ormeau
Every Thursday from 9.45 to 10.45am at Ormeau Community Centre on Cuthbert Drive during school term. Kangatraining is a fun baby wearing fitness program designed to help mum’s strengthen their bodies post pregnancy and birth while keeping their baby close. We are more than just a fitness program, we are a safe space for mum’s to connect with other mum’s while they move their bodies. They have Trial Passes for $10 or $5 if you bring a friend. Casual Pass = $18 and 10 wk Term Pass = $150 ($15 per class). Classes are ideal for babies to toddlers. Small children who are too big for a carrier are welcome as they can start to dance and “carry” their own “babies”. Older kids are welcome as long as they are occupied or join in.

PlayConnect is a facilitated Playgroup for families with childrenwho have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental delays that affect communication, social interaction and/or sensory processing. A diagnosis is not required. The program is free and not part of NDIS. PlayConnect is a place where you can have fun make friends, share stories and gain information about support services available. Kids Yoga: Free Weekly Yoga Session in Helensvale
10am to 12pm every Friday until 13 November 2020 at Westfield Helensvale: 1-29 Millaroo Drive, Helensvale. Your little budding yogi will be taught relaxation techniques while stretching their bodies in a playful and nurturing environment. Our yoga instructors use storytelling, games, music and props to engage the children on a mental and physical level, taking them on a journey of mind and spirit. Nature Playgroup Mt Tamborine and Surrounds
A nature-based playgroup in the Mount Tamborine, Tamborine and Canungra area. Meet every Friday morning at 9:30am at a different location each week to keep things interesting for the kiddies and parents. Bring a picnic blanket, some morning tea, water, hats, sunscreen, change of clothes for the kids and dress them in clothes that you don’t mind them getting wet or possibly stained (any extra things for specific meets will be added to the description of the event). Sessions are run by an ECE and experienced forest school teacher. Our ‘forest school’ focuses on outdoor education where children visit forests/bush/mangrove/beach areas to learn personal , social and technical skills on a regular basis to develop \independence and confidence through hands on learning. Every Friday from 9.30 to 11.30am for children aged 3-5 years. Paid for by the month at $15 per class – locations vary ( around the northern gold coast).
Mummylicious Scultp Fit Fitness Class for Mums in Paradise Point
9.30am in Paradise Point Park Esplanade N, Paradise Point. Mummylicious was developed by mum and exercise physiologist Christine Groves to offer specialised fitness programs and tools for mums wanting to improve their health and fitness. Baby will be entertained by songs, visual stimulation and fun activities in the workout so you get the necessary bonding time crucial to your child’s development. And with our complimentary nannies onsite Monday, Wednesday & Friday, you can opt to have baby entertained while you train! All of our sessions are baby/child friendly. First week free – register online. Once you’ve tried it, you can activate the membership that suits your lifestyle. (Casual sessions are $15 but must be pre-booked 24 hours in advance). Kangatraining Pimpama
Every Friday from 9.45 to 10.45am at Pimpama School of Arts Community Centre: 15 Clark Way during school term. Kangatraining is a fun baby wearing fitness program designed to help mum’s strengthen their bodies post pregnancy and birth while keeping their baby close. We are more than just a fitness program, we are a safe space for mum’s to connect with other mum’s while they move their bodies. They have Trial Passes for $10 or $5 if you bring a friend. Casual Pass = $18 and 10 wk Term Pass = $150 ($15 per class). Classes are ideal for babies to toddlers. Small children who are too big for a carrier are welcome as they can start to dance and “carry” their own “babies”. Older kids are welcome as long as they are occupied or join in.
Weekend Playgroup in Mount Warren Park
From 11am. Weekend playgroup runs on the first Saturday of each month, so that working parents can attend, however, all families are welcome. Address: 6 Peace Court, Mount Warren Park.
