There are a few great reasons to try out this toddler friendly eats destination in Oxenford:
Outdoor Playground
When you have toddlers a family restaurant with a good kids play area or playground is gold! Coomera Lodge has a good outdoor playground that would appeal to most kids 12 and under. It does have partial shade sails for sunny days but no cover for rain. Coomera Lodge also offers a lot of outdoor space for children to wander and explore. We took a walk to the outdoor picnic tables overlooking the river and spotted a Kookaburra and Bin Chicken. If it is fine I would recommend booking a table on the deck so you can sit back and watch your kids if they are big enough to play without you in the playground.
The Food
We placed a mobile order which was super easy. Simply scan the QR code with your phone’s camera to access the website to access the menu and place your bistro food and drink order whilst you sit at your table. Your order is then delivered to your table when ready.
Kids Meals are $6 so super affordable. You can also add an ice cream or frog in the pond jelly dessert for $2 or a juice or soft drink for $3. I really liked the Build Your Own Kids Meal feature which allows you to customise your kids meals from their Mix & Match options, perfect for the fussy or not so fussy eaters. The Coomera Lodge Kid’s Meals menu has a lot to choose from including 8 base meals and 9 sides which you can select 2 plus a range of sauces to add on. I particularly love the ability to add some healthy vegetable sides that the kids might actually eat. We ordered a cheese pasta and dinosaur pizza with 4 different sides giving my two toddlers lots of variety to share out between them.
Dad and Mum ordered a Rump Steak and Lamb Shank. The steak was cooked to taste and the Lamb Shank had great flavour and the meat fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. Other parent meal options include Schnitzel, Parmy’s, Burgers, Fisherman’s Basket and Salads.
Coomera Lodge offers a good classic pub menu and from what we tasted it is cooked well. Definitely worth the visit especially this January 2021 using the Happy Days Deal outlined below.

Atmosphere and Staff
Coomera Lodge has a really relaxed friendly atmosphere. Loads of outdoor dining options from the outdoor deck near the playground, the undercover area outside the bistro or the picnic tables with amazing river views. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
Toddler Review
I have been meaning to visit Coomera Lodge for some time. I had heard through the Mum grapevine that it was a good family friendly pub and of course a playground with dining space nearby always puts a venue you on my toddler friendly eats investigation list.
The outdoor playground is good but not suited for wet weather but hey we live in Queensland! I really like the abundance of outdoor dining options that Coomera Lodge also offers and the picnic tables out the back do really have a great view of the river.
Coomera Lodge have a stand out Kids Menu. One of the best I have seen for both price and the options available. Parents won’t miss out either, the meals we had were really tasty and what you would expect from a good pub. I really liked the mobile ordering as well. No need to juggle the kids as you can do everything from your phone from your table or even the playground as the kids play.
Highly recommend you get out and experience Coomera Lodge Hotel this January 2021. You will get a great deal if you dine between 5 and 6pm this month and try the mobile ordering and you may even find yourself a new favourite local.
What to pack (suggestions)
- Snacks (back-up if there are any meal delays)
- Packet of wipes for spills and toddler clean-up
- Bibs (if out for dinner and your toddlers are bathed and ready for bed)
- Tablet / phone or diner table friendly toys if playground is wet (it rained before we went!)
