Crunchy’s All-Day Desserts Café is a family owned and run café in Jimboomba. As the name suggests they have a spectacular array of delectable desserts you can enjoy all day and they also have an all-day savoury menu, wonderful coffee and an amazing selection of wines, cocktails and locally brewed beer to enjoy.

Kid’s Menu

What kid (big or small) doesn’t love dessert? I would go so far as to say that Master Fletcher (4 yrs) is obsessed with it! So Crunchy’s will always be a hit with the kids. You could choose something from the menu to share or if you are worried your toddler will leave you hungry, the Little Crunchy’s menu is ideal for your toddler and features both savoury and sweet options that are portioned and priced for the littlies. Little Crunchy’s kids menu is for children 12 years and under.

Colouring-In

When the lovely staff at Crunchy’s see you arrive with kids in tow they will be quick to come and offer you colouring-in pages and pencils to keep the kids occupied whilst waiting for your meals to arrive.

The Food

Crunchy’s All-Day Dessert menu has a mouth-watering list of options including Waffles (choose from Liége, Brussels or Vegan/Gluten-Friendly), Crepes, Poffertjes (Dutch mini pancakes), and Sundaes.

If dessert is not your thing (no judgement) they also have a delicious all-day savoury menu including grazing platters that match perfectly with the Café drinks menu featuring luscious cocktails, wines from local wineries, and locally brewed beer.

Everything is freshly made in-house (included the freshly baked bread and pastries) and is simple delicious!

The food is seasonal so the menu evolves with the seasons. Which means there will always be something new to try, no matter how many times you visit!

Atmosphere and Staff

Crunchy’s offers both inside and outside dining. The inside dining area is full of light and greenery and is the best spot to view the central kitchen so this was our chosen spot for our visit.

Crunchy’s kitchen is set in the middle of the cafe with viewing glass so you can watch your meals and desserts being prepared for you from your table. You can also watch as Waffles, Crepes, Poffertjes, and much more are being cooked. This alone kept my children occupied for much of our visit.

The food at Crunchy’s All-Day Desserts Café is just so awesome it should be the #1 reason for your visit but the icing on the delicious Crunchy’s cake is the beautiful staff who really care about what they do and provide, plus the great atmosphere created from the obvious thought that went into designing the beautiful cafe environment.

Toddler Review

One word yum!

I am writing this article, thinking back on our visit and my mouth is literally watering at the thought. (I am trying not to drool like Homer Simpson!)

We visited for lunch (with dessert of course) and tried the freshly made baguette rolls that were simply delicious as was the coffee I enjoyed with it. For dessert we tried Little Dutch (poffertjes) and Candy Land from the kid’s menu. The kid’s demolished everything and I even got to taste some of the dessert!

The big problem with Crunchy’s All-Day Desserts Café is choosing what to have from the menu – there are simply too many good options to choose from! I guess that just means we will have to look for more toddler adventures in and around Jimboomba so we have an excuse to stop into Crunchy’s All-Day Desserts Café!

If you are looking for a new foodie destination for breakfast, lunch, nibbles and a cocktail, or you just want to satisfy a craving for something sweet and delicious, take a trip to Crunchy’s All-Day Desserts Café in Jimboomba – you won’t be disappointed.

If you are planning a trip to Crunchy’s with your toddler we would recommend that you pair it with a visit to Darlington Parklands in Yarrabilba to either work up an appetite or burn off some Crunchy’s Dessert goodness on your way home!
