Playgroup on Thursday

A playgroup is held every Thursday of the school term from 9.30 to 11.30am for kids aged 0-6 years and their parents. Toddler Review

One way to see if a destination is popular with local mum’s and toddlers is to visit on a Saturday morning.

From our Saturday morning visit to First Fruits Coffee Playground and Cafe in Southport, boy is this place popular with Gold Coast Mum’s and their kids!

The playground was packed with kids, two kid’s birthday parties were in full swing and there were lots of Mum’s and Dad’s enjoying a coffee and chat whilst there children played.

It was busy, and their was lots of people but there is also lots of space and the playground did not seem overcrowded. I would recommend if you visit on a Saturday morning to take along a picnic blanket just to ensure you have a seat if they are busy and all seats are taken. There were a couple of groups that thought of this so you would not seem out of place.

The staff also don’t seem to mind if you bring along some snacks for the kids to enjoy whilst you enjoy your coffee.

If you are looking for a stress free (someone else does the majority of the work for you) kids birthday party, check out First Fruits. The parties we saw seemed lovely and I have heard good reviews from other Mum’s who have had parties there, plus the packages seem quite affordable for a do-it-for-you style of service.
