Interactive Star Wars Experience @ Westfield Coomera
Westfield and Disney are launching an interactive Star Wars experience at Westfield Coomera for a limited time only, from Monday 1 April to Sunday 7 April, daily from 10.00am – 3.00pm.
This fully immersive experience, featuring soft lighting, ethereal music, and an ultrawide video screen, will transport fans to the edge of the galaxy, between the Unknown Regions and Wild Space, to the long-forgotten planet of Batuu. A thriving destination for those who would prefer to go about their business unnoticed, news of the Resistance in Batuu has drawn the attention of the First Order, eager to stomp out any remaining flickers of opposition to their absolute control.
Don’t miss out on this unique experience! Once you’re in centre, head to H&M and discover an intriguing pod and the promise of adventure. When the session is ready to begin, you’ll be invited inside to experience a tour of the planet Batuu, where travellers get to explore a remote outpost on the edge of the galaxy, featuring both new and beloved characters from the Star Wars universe. Each session will run for approximately 5 minutes, for 6-8 fans at a time, and you will be provided with headphones for an all-encompassing immersive experience.

Charlotte’s Web Puppet Show in Main Beach
The Queensland Theatre of Puppetry (QTOP) Easter School Holiday show will be “Charlotte’s Web”.
An amazing story, about a Pig and a Spider and a Rat, who became good friends, and helped each other survive. A fantastic book that children read at school. Funds raised will go to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation for use in the Children’s ward.
This Production will be in the Easter Holidays 2024 from Monday 1st April until Friday 12th April. Mon to Fri both weeks (but no weekends). There are two shows daily, one at 9-30am and then 11am. When you arrive, be there about 10mins before the start.

Kari Foundation Unity Day
The KARI Foundation Unity Day is being held on Wednesday, April 3 from 10am-3pm at Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium.
Held annually in April, Unity Day provides a one-stop shop for members of the community to explore and experience Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture first hand. There will be stalls, business consultations, cultural activities, and more.
The event offers a range of activities that cater to both adults and children alike including cultural activations, local Indigenous markets stalls featuring handmade arts and crafts by local Indigenous entrepreneurs as well amusement rides, entertainment and access to a variety of informative stall providers.
At Unity Day we want everyone to feel welcome no matter their age or gender – everyone is invited!
Kids Sushi Making Workshop @ Australia Fair

HOTA Little ArtLab: Bold and Brazen Tiles @ HOTA
April’s Little ArtLab at HOTA is all about geometric forms and patterns!
Inspired by local artist Michelle Le Plastrier’s artwork Dopamine Days currently on display at HOTA Gallery, Little ArtLabbers will use paper clay to mold, cut and layer bright and colourful shapes. Build modelling skills, learn about geometric forms and explore contrast and patterns through squiggles, dots and other fun shapes.
Children must be accompanied by an adult or carer and cannot be left unsupervised at any time.

Join Genfit Training Centre this Easter School Holidays for their Annual Easter Movie Night presented by Tungsten Home Loans and Genfit WHA on Sunday, April 7.

This year, they are taking donations of non-perishable food items or gift vouchers to BigW or Petrol, which are always needed for Nightlight. An organisation combating the Cost of Living Crises by supporting the community with free meals every Thursday night at Beenleigh Train Station. They also collect furniture, clothing, and other items for those who need them most.
This event is free to members and the general public. Genfit have also invited Brisbane’s Award Winning Burger Truck Benz on Miller to serve their delicious Burgers for Ormeau and surrounding areas!

In this free 45-minute children’s workshop, our friends at Queensland Ballet will take you on a dino-dancing journey of movement with a prehistoric twist.

Vapiano: Pizza Kids Masterclasses @ Westfield Coomera
Vapiano Coomera will be running pizza making classes for kids from Monday 8 April until Sunday 14 April.
For just $20 Vapiano’s pizza masters will teach your kids how to knead dough, garnish their creations and send the pizzas to the oven. During the class, their chefs take the kids through the fresh vegetables and savoury herbs that go into making a delicious pizza. Tossing in a bit of pizza acrobatics to make the event entertaining and exciting for kids and adults alike! Plus each little masterchef will receive their very own Vapiano Pizza Kids apron to take home!
